Again get an appointment scheduled with the Pain Specialist, this time for the discography/discogram and now I get a phone call that we will have to reschedule because it has not been approved.  What does it have to be approved for?  It has been court ordered through the Department of Industrial Accidents.  I called up the utilization review company and they said this time its not us screwing you over, even though they denied the procedure, they said it should not have come to us for approval it should have come to us with the court order that says it has been ordered.  OK so you got the Court Order last time and its apparent that you do not do your job to read what these things say in it.  No she said that it should have come from the doctors office with every request.  Then she says you need to call your doctor's office to have them send the information directly to the claims administrator at CNA.  Ya, right like this thing will ever get approved.  Every time you try to get a hold of Lisa at CNA either her mailbox is full or she does not know what happened to the fax and asks that it be resent.

So screw it I e-mailed her, the pain clinic, and my lawyer with a copy of the court order say that she will be getting a fax from the doctor's office very shortly and I would appreciate it if should could get though whatever process is necessary with it today so that I could keep my appointment for tomorrow. What the fuck really.  The only thing that works in all of the Massachusetts workman's compensation system has been the Judge.  She heard my case on a Monday and I received a letter in the mail the next day and guess what it wasn't even sent through next day mail. This whole workman's compensation program sucks for people that are really in pain.  I understand that they put processes in place to weed out the people that are committing fraud with the system but how about after you know that they are not committing fraud you put them through a streamlined process.Oh ya, one other thing the Doctor that the utilization review company Coventry used to review the request doesn't even know the guidelines for approving so automatically he rejects it because my doctor was unavailable to talk to him when he called because of course he called with 10 minutes left in the day and the doctor was with a patient and his partner who was covering those phone calls could not call the guy back fast enough before he sent the response to the utilization review.  And if that is not bad enough if the doctor who the utilization company hires does not contact your doctor or the utilization company within the allotted time frame it is automatically rejected by the company.

You would think that the doctor who is actually physically reviewing you would have the most responsibility in making sure you receive the best care doesn't.  He is at a long end of a crappy process and policy that he or she has no control over.If you are on workman's compensation and do not have a lawyer you should get one because these blood suckers have no responsibility to you or your family they just have responsibility to their share holders for keeping down the amount of expenditures

My knee is definitely hurting today after physical therapy and the walking around this weekend and from the concrete stairs.  I'll have to go back to see the orthopedic doctor soon to see if he thinks it is more than just patella tendinitis.  After working the hamstring I seem to walk better but as soon as I try doing leg presses it gets all out of wack.  Do the hamstring exercise and it moves back into place but not as good as the first time.

This workman's comp shit sucks.  Your in pain and the insurance company does not any penalties for keeping the injured employees in pain.

Have not been in this much pain in a while.  The tramadol is not cutting it today, I must have push myself over the limit.  The last two days were pushing it and today just was over the top.  I guess I sat way to much and didn't straighten out my back enough.  But hey you got to get out of the house and live being stuck in side all day long and not being around other people just sucks.  The tipping point though was definitely reached and I'll be paying for this for the next few days.  Hopefully the discograph with Dr. Barna is quick and successful to push me on to see the neurosurgeon as soon as possible.

OK now that was a storm. No Tornado warnings but nasty lightening and thunder.

At about 9 PM the power went out and the sky was light up like it was day time for minutes at a time for about an hour and a half.  Around 11:00 PM the National Grid truck started roaming Elm Street looking for the transformer to fix and around 11:30 PM the power was back on.

As I'm leaving Physical Therapy around 4:30 I saw on the TV a tornado warning for western Plymouth County.  I get in the truck to fly home before it is suppose to hit and get a million calls on the cell phone and the house phone about the warning.  And by the time I get home they canceled the warning and we barely got any of the storm.  The thunder and lightening storm on Friday night was way worse hear then today.

I changed the pics out from the basic theme that Thomas created.  I think eventually I'll create my own theme but probably be a few weeks.  I'll need to be adding a lot more content.
