The Red Sox beat the Angels 3-2 in the bottom of the ninth in Game 4 of the ALDS off of Jed Lowrie's single that scores Jason Bay from second base.  This game was great I wish I went to the game but I know I couldn't have taken the back pain tonight especially in the cold.

It has got to be hard for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim fans this year to lose to the Boston Red Sox again in Post Season play.  This was another great Post Season game in 2008 and another exciting win for the Red Sox

Wow did you see that play by Tek!  The play is going to be one of the major highlights of this post season if the Red Sox move forward in the playoffs.  Mike Scioscia the Angels Manager definitely has a set for trying the squeeze play.  Reggie Willits comes down the line as Erick Aybar misses laying down the suicide squeeze bunt and Jason Varitek runs down Willits and applies the tag and afterwards falls down to the ground and the ball flops out of his glove but the umpire calls him out because he had control of the ball before he fell down.

I had my 3rd Lumbar Spine MRI on Thursday night at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth.  I'm hoping this MRI shows why the pain in my legs has increased so much since having the discography in August.  My pain has increased so much and the Tramadol does not seem to be working.  My sleeping schedule is all screwed up I'm staying up until 6 or 7 AM and then sleeping sometimes until 2 or 3 PM.

Ok I heard back from Doctor Banco's office and they said that doctor reviewed my case and would like to see me.  She said they just need to get the worker's compensation insurance adjustors information.  So I gave her the information and sent an e-mail to the adjustor to make sure the information was still correct.  I get a response back and low and behold my case has been transferred to another adjustor.  Do I get notified?  Of course not that would make sense to let me know that my case which has been open now for over 15 months has someone else handling it.

Well hopefully the new adjustor approves the consultation with Doctor Banco otherwise it will be another 3 months of being in pain waiting for a court date in front of the Industrial Accidents Board.

I'm so happy to have learned my lesson about the worker's compensation system in this state.  Everyone makes money off of you and your case while you continue to be in pain and not get better.  After I get better I want to make sure that everyone that works in this state know and understands this system and your rights.  That your really just and indentured servant and your not a human being living in pain because they are not responsible for that.

We'll I met with Dr. Murphy today.  He talked about the fusion surgery of L5-S1 and what was involved with the surgery.  He said the surgery should take 4 to 6 hours and I would be in the hospital for 3 to 5 days.  The recovery period is 6 to 12 months and the first 8 to 12 weeks are the most important.

The surgery would be removing the disc between L5-S1, taking the right wing off of the L5 vertebra, inserting two screws into S1 and into L5 then inserting a bone graft and the bone chips from the wing so that the L5, bone graft and pieces and S1 grow together over time.

He wants me to have another MRI on my lumbar spine to review if anything else has changed and if they can see why the sciatica pain in my right leg is getting worse.

I'm going to try to get an appointment with a surgeon at New England Baptists Hospital.

He said there is a possibility that in 10 to 15 years I would need surgery to fuse L4 & L5 together.

He does not do artificial disc replacements so I'm going to try to get a surgeon that does artificial disc replacement surgery and fusion and see what he thinks would be the best option.

This is the first entry I'd done using the Windows Live Writer software.  I'm trying to find new blogging software to put on http://workerscompsucks.com so that people can share their workers compensation experience.

What are the major issues facing our Nation currently and why are their no solutions being implemented at this time?  The issues are energy, economy, and the war on terror.  What we need to have in Washington is elected officials that are committed to finding solutions to these complex problems.  We need a major change to the way that our country is run.  We need to implement term limits to the elected positions; so that the people elected to Congress are concentrating on discussing the solutions to the problems facing our nation and not focusing on their own re-election campaigns.

We should be voting for elected officials with what our citizens believe to be best for our country and not themselves.  We need people to take individual responsibility for their own problems and try not to pass them off to someone else.  After studying history of our planet, one lesson that every person should learn is the world is not fair and never was meant to be.  People need to deal with problems as they arise and not blame someone else because that does not bring a resolution to the problem it just delays the problem and usually intensifies the consequences.

Our politicians spend more time blaming each other’s parties than spending their time on find solutions to our complex problems.  We need to start to look at long term solutions to our nation’s problems and not short term fixes until poll numbers change.

Another night past 2:30 AM and I can't sleep.  Being in pain sucks, your always pissy with people you love and you do not have any patience.  I just want to get back to living a frigging normal life and not be depressed about being in constant pain.

It is rough when you can't sleep and then when you do get a good nights sleep you do not want to get up out of bed because you don't know if you'll ever get sleep again.

I don't get this fucking worker's compensation system.  I'd have gotten way better care and suffered a lot less had I been able to use my personal medical insurance.  I'd probably had been back to work already if not close to it considering it sounds like the recovery time is 6 to 9 months after surgery.  I'd probably had only lost some of the summer instead of losing all of it.

I'm very lucky to have a wife that is so patient because I'm going out of my mind.  This whole process just sucks; You'd think that this states Legislature would understand that by keeping people out of work for a long time that they are taking away from the states coffers by not paying income taxes.
